Admission to the Paul Ramsey Institute is open to those with a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent. Applicants should be under the age of forty-five and should be from those who are currently pursuing continuing education within the field of bioethics (law, medicine, theology, philosophy, or science) or those already working within one of these fields.
In addition, applicants must submit an essay (a prompt and instructions for submission are included within the application), a current resume or CV, which includes the applicant’s professional experience, and two letters of reference (one must be academic, the other may be personal).
All application materials are due on or before March 6, 2017.
Applicants may be asked to participate in a phone interview during the week of March 20, 2017.
Final application decisions will be sent via e-mail during the week of March 27, 2017.
Accepted applicants will be invited to participate in six Paul Ramsey Institute colloquiums (three during the 2017-2018 academic year and three during the 2018-2019 academic year). All travel costs, lodging, and specified meals will be covered.
Applicants are expected to attend all colloquiums. For the 2017-2018 year the dates are:
- October 20-22, 2017
- January 19-21, 2018
- March 23-25, 2018
